‘Pledgehog’
This year we are working to achieve CAFOD’s Live Simply Award. This is an award given to schools and parishes in response to Pope Francis’ invitation to ‘Laudato Si’ – to work with
generosity and tenderness in protecting God’s world. Further information about this award can be found at https://cafod.org.uk/campaign/livesimply-award.
One part of our award is to encourage the children and their families to make promises as to how they can live a more simple and sustainable life. This might include fewer journeys in the car, use of eco-friendly household products, planet friendly decisions about food and waste, more effective recycling or supporting local wildlife projects.
To display the promises, we hope to make a large scale ‘pledgehog’ to share promises and ideas as to as to how we can work as a team to make God’s world a better place. Please find the PDF copy of our letter here Live Simply Award CAFOD April 23.docx
CAFOD’s Live Simply Prayer
As we continue with our efforts to achieve CAFOD’s Live Simply Award, we would like to encourage our families to unite in prayer to protect God’s precious earth.
