Dear Parents and Carers,
Things have been very different this year for everyone. But as Christmas approaches, we wanted to make sure that the spirit of that special day that we remember each year, wasn’t lost.
So please see attached the virtual travelling crib letter. There are sheets for the children to complete or use a template to complete on their own sheet of paper. There is also a video from our lovely Year 6 children on Google Classroom, showing how you might take part at home. This will also be available on Google Classroom.
Merry Christmas everyone,
Mrs Scott

Dear Parents and Carers,
In the last few days we have become aware of one or two safeguarding concerns regarding social media apps and games. Therefore, this post is just to remind everyone of how to stay safe online and how to ensure children are accessing appropriate content online as well. As you may be aware of, sometimes there are films and clips on the internet that are nasty and inappropriate. It is our aim to advise you wherever possible on how to keep children safely away from such content.

The children created a moving display to pay their respects to the brave men and women of the armed forces who gave their lives in the line of duty.

Hats off to every single child who got involved in all things Halloween before the half-term break. As you know, Year 5 were off. But that didn’t stop Max Donnelly giving all of the staff at St James a mighty scare and a much needed laugh. He certainly looks the part as an Ofsted inspector, and I will be sure to keep on my toes in case he comes knocking again anytime soon.
In the unprecedented times we all face as a family at St James, little things like this can really lighten the mood. Good lad Max!
