Year 5 Residential

8th May 2022 By niamhreilly

Year 5 had a fantastic trip to the Emmaus Youth Village last week. From an escape room to motivational speech making and prayer reflection to orienteering through the woods – an amazing time was had by all. I have attached some photos of our brilliant time away. Thank you very much to the Youth Ministry Team for having us!

Hamlet Production from Year 5

14th September 2021 By Admin Linda

Happy Friday evening everyone,

I will start by saying how extremely proud I am of the entire class for their collective performance of Hamlet on Friday morning. They have showed such amazing professionalism and a willingness to learn and it really paid off on the day. As their class teacher, it is moments like this, that I will never forget for the rest of my career.

I hope you enjoy the show. A special thank you to Mrs Camm, who worked tirelessly behind the scenes to make sure everything ran smoothly with costumes and props. We couldn’t have done it without her.

Can we ask that nobody shares the video on social media outlets such as Facebook please? Many thanks for your understanding.

Please click the following link to watch the performance. https://youtu.be/5ST-PV0xnWo It will be unavailable until 6pm.

Have a great weekend,

Mr Monaghan

Year 5 are overnight celebrities!

14th September 2021 By Admin Linda

Year 5 are busy preparing for their Hamlet performance on Friday, and were really pleased to hear that Radio 1 DJ Greg James had given them a shout out on his breakfast show. The children have worked so hard in rehearsals and at home learning their lines. So this was a nice little treat for them. St James Hebburn is on the national map, woohoo!

Virtual Travelling Crib 2020

14th September 2021 By Admin Linda

Dear Parents and Carers,

Things have been very different this year for everyone. But as Christmas approaches, we wanted to make sure that the spirit of that special day that we remember each year, wasn’t lost.

So please see attached the virtual travelling crib letter. There are sheets for the children to complete or use a template to complete on their own sheet of paper. There is also a video from our lovely Year 6 children on Google Classroom, showing how you might take part at home. This will also be available on Google Classroom.

Merry Christmas everyone,

Mrs Scott

Films and clips on Social Media

14th September 2021 By Admin Linda

Dear Parents and Carers,

In the last few days we have become aware of one or two safeguarding concerns regarding social media apps and games.  Therefore, this post is just to remind everyone of how to stay safe online and how to ensure children are accessing appropriate content online as well. As you may be aware of, sometimes there are films and clips on the internet that are nasty and inappropriate. It is our aim to advise you wherever possible on how to keep children safely away from such content.

The children created a moving display to pay their respects to the brave men and women of the armed forces who gave their lives in the line of duty.
